The Scottish International Air Show, Scotland’s biggest family event, attracted an estimated 85,000 people to Ayr over the weekend. Those attending were treated to spectacular flying displays during the 2 day festival, and this years event included a thrilling pyrotechnics flying display on Friday evening. The Red Arrows closed the show on Saturday, with a breathtaking display over the Ayrshire coast.
Land Energy Girvan is to invest £6.4 million expanding its South Ayrshire site. The York-based company, which operates an integrated wood pellet production and combined heat and power plant in Girvan, said the investment will see it create 10 new jobs and will safeguard a further 28 in the Scottish supply chain.
